Confirmation

Confirmation is a year-long opportunity for 10th graders to expand and explore who they are and how they make decisions as a teen, an American, and a Jew today.

While B’nai Mitzvah focuses on an individual primarily on learning Torah and writing a d’var Torah, Confirmation is a unique opportunity to learn closely with the Rabbi in a weekly program focused on being a teenager, values, ethics, and the modern world. This is a chance to deal with difficult, real-life issues. Confirmation meets on Sundays at noon during a student’s 10th grade year. A highlight is the trip to Washington, DC for the Religious Action Center L’Taken program.

Our Confirmation Class celebrates their studies and connections at a service on the holiday of Shavuot.
