The Reform Temple of Forest Hills

Women’s Connection

At RTFH, Jewish women of all ages are welcome to join Women’s Connection. We’re a fun and dynamic community, which gets together once a month and offers special programming throughout the year. Women’s Connection also sponsors Birthday Greetings and a weekly Oneg after Friday night Shabbat services.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month. If you’ve never been to a Women’s Connection meeting and you’re curious, reach out to us at or call Sheryl in the office and she’ll let us know. We’d love to have you join us and be part of the group!

What does Women’s Connection do?

First and foremost, we support each other as Jewish women, recognizing that everyone who identifies as a woman is deserving and worthy of community. At Women’s Connection, we design monthly programs that facilitate friendships and spiritual connection. We play games, learn more about Jewish tradition and history, and participate in a variety of creative programs designed to celebrate and observe our unique experiences as Jewish women.

How does Women’s Connection help?

The RTFH Women’s Connection also provides meaningful ways to enrich and contribute to our shared Temple community. We celebrate the lifecycle events of our many young people, from birth to college, by sending gifts at those major milestones and helping to keep older students stay connected when they’re far from home.

Women’s Connection sponsors our annual community Passover Seder and Chanukah Dinner. Our group also builds community connections by enabling congregants to send monthly birthday cards, New Year’s Cards, and gifts at Jewish holidays to one another.

We frequently donate time and money to causes inside and outside of our Temple walls.

Why should I join Women’s Connection?

Women’s Connection (WoCo) is a great way to actively participate in Judaism with others and access the many resources available to you as a Temple member. We are affiliated with the WRJ, the Women of Reform Judaism, which provides many opportunities to engage with the greater Reform Jewish community.

Women’s Connection is the perfect place to make friends, do a little mitzvah here and there, and feel welcome in a safe space where you don’t have to explain who you are or why you’re here. We hope to see you soon!
