Worldwide Efforts

In addition to our many local efforts, the Social Action Team hopes to educate and inspire our Temple community to support individuals in need across the U.S. and countries around the globe.

More than 400 days since Hamas’ brutal attack on October 7th, 101 hostages still remain in captivity in Gaza. We must continue advocating to ensure the U.S. does all it can until every single hostage is home with their loved ones. Take action and write to both President Biden and President-elect Trump to tell them how important it is to you to bring the hostages home immediately. Write every day!

Help fulfill one of the most important Jewish imperatives— to free the captive: pidyon shvu’im. Please share the links with friends and family.

Spearheaded by our Israel Support and Awareness Committee, our congregation raises funds for The Shiloni Project, an Israeli grassroots organization which provides urgently needed physical and emotional assistance to IDF troops and evacuated families. We encourage you to make a donation through RTFH which will be forwarded to the organization.

Ukraine still needs financial support and our advocacy efforts. We’ve identified ways you can help.

Consider calling or writing your Congressional representatives or Senators to encourage their continued commitment to Ukraine.
Make a donation to: RAZOM, a NY based nonprofit supporting Ukraine; UNITED 24, a charity launched by President Zelensky which enables you to select the direction of your donation to these critical areas— defense, demining, medical aid, rebuilding Ukraine, and education & science; or one of many charities helping Jews in Ukraine.
