Michael Samuels is a native Floridian but has lived in New York for the past 16 years. He is an old-school brown-shoe journalist who started out as a daily newspaper reporter, saw the writing on the wall and switched to a digital focus early in his career. His first job in New York was with the Long Island Business News, then for the past 10 years he’s been the digital web editor for WealthManagement.com, a trade publication and website focused on the business of financial advice. He is also the webmaster of RTFH.org, the temple’s website. Michael and his wife, Stacey, first became aware of RTFH when their now 13-year old daughter Katie had her baby naming with Rabbi Perelmuter. Katie is a proud graduate of Temple Tots, had her bat mitzvah in January and graduated from religious school in May. Their son Jonathan (J.R.) is in second grade at the religious school. What Michael and his family love about RTFH is its openness, its inclusivity and its community. He looks forward to continuing to advocate for that.
