The Reform Temple of Forest Hills

Marcy Keltai

Hi! I’m Marcy Keltai.  We have lived in Forest Hills for over 25 years. My family and I have been members of RTFH since 2016. My daughter, Layla, went through RTFH Religious School from 1st -7th grades, had her Bat Mitzvah and is now part of ToFHY and the confirmation class with the Rabbi. My daughter, Jenna, is in the RTFH Religious School and will have her Bat Mitzvah in 2025. My husband, Ken, is a landscape architect  and I am a project manager for a talent strategy consulting firm. We spend most weekends watching Layla on the soccer field or watching Jenna on stage at dance competitions.

Besides being on the Temple Board of Trustees, I am the Women’s Connection VP-Membership, and a member of the Religious School and Religious Practices Committees. I co-chaired the ChanukahRocks fundraising concerts from 2016-2018. I have also been in charge of the WoCo Birthday Connection fundraiser since 2020, so if you have ever received a birthday greeting from the temple, I sent that out.

Growing up in Monroe, NY, Temple Beth-El, the Reform Temple of Liberal Judaism was a huge part of my life. Both my parents were active in committees within the temple. My dad was the president at one point and my mom taught Religious School. From a young age, I saw and felt the importance of Judaism in our lives and what it meant to be part of a Jewish community surrounded with people that loved Judaism, supported each other and were friends in and out of the temple. I want the same experience for my children, and I have found that in spades at RTFH.
