Building Community, One Letter at a Time

The 613th Mitzvah

Write for Yourselves this Song and Teach it to the Children of Israel (Deuteronomy 31:19)

A Sefer Torah is composed of 304,805 letters, each one a thread in the sacred fabric of our tradition. It is said that one who writes even a single letter, or enables its writing through their support, is considered to have completed the entire Torah. In doing so, they fulfill the 613th and final mitzvah, a timeless commandment woven into the heart of our faith.

In the year ahead, we will commemorate 30 remarkable years of RTFH, as we educate, uplift, and inspire our congregation through the wisdom of Torah. Together, we will write a new Sefer Torah, a beacon of inspiration for the next 30 years and generations to come!

From Generation to Generation…

Rarely do we have the chance to create something that will outlast our own time, something that both inspires and becomes a source of inspiration for others. Don’t miss this opportunity to do both—let us come together and commemorate this moment, leaving a legacy that will endure for generations to come!

Dedication Opportunities

For the first time in our history, RTFH is writing our very own Sefer Torah, and we want YOU to be a part of this extraordinary moment! This is your opportunity to dedicate a Torah book, portion, story, word, or name that holds personal significance by making a donation to RTFH. Through your support, you will honor your loved ones and help sustain future generations with a tax-deductible contribution. We invite every congregant to participate in this mitzvah and leave a lasting impact. Below are just a few examples of available dedications—click here for the full list.
